Remove My Profile from StoryPeek
If you landed here because you found your profile on StoryPeek, take a breath. Nothing is wrong, and you have not been hacked or singled out. StoryPeek only ever shows content that is already public on Instagram, and we are happy to take you off our tool entirely.\n\nThis page explains exactly what we can and cannot see, the fastest way to disappear from StoryPeek (and tools like it), and how to submit a removal request if you would rather we add you to our permanent blocklist.
We only show public content — never private accounts
StoryPeek can only display what Instagram itself already makes public to anyone on the internet, whether or not they have an account. Stories, highlights, reels, posts, and profile details are pulled live from Instagram's own public servers.
We never access, show, or store anything from private accounts. If an account is set to private, StoryPeek simply cannot see it. We also do not store your photos or videos on our servers — media streams directly from Instagram, and we only briefly cache the public profile information for roughly 10 to 30 minutes before it expires.
We are an independent tool and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta in any way.
The fastest fix: make your account private
If you want to be removed from StoryPeek and every similar tool at once, the quickest and most complete solution is to switch your Instagram account to private.
The moment your account is private, StoryPeek can no longer see or display any of your content — the change takes effect instantly and applies everywhere, not just here. To do this, open Instagram, go to Settings, tap Account privacy, and turn on Private account.
Because this closes the door on all public-content viewers at the source, we recommend it as the strongest option if privacy is your main concern.
Prefer to stay public? We honor removal requests
You do not have to go private to be removed from StoryPeek. If you would like to keep your account public but never appear on our tool, just send us a removal request using the form below.
Once we process your request, we add your username to a permanent blocklist. That blocklist is checked before any lookup happens, so StoryPeek will refuse to load your profile, stories, highlights, reels, or posts from that point on. Your username stays on the list permanently — you do not need to ask again.
What we need from you
To process your removal, the form asks for two things:
1. Your Instagram username (the @handle), so we know exactly which profile to block.
2. Confirmation that you own this account, or that it depicts you — a simple checkbox confirming the request is genuine.
That is all. We do not ask for your password, your email login, or any sensitive personal details, and you do not need to create an account with us.
Why we verify requests
To protect people from being removed by someone else without their knowledge, we take a quick step to confirm that each request is genuine and comes from the account owner or the person depicted.
This verification is straightforward and is only there to prevent abuse — for example, to stop someone from blocking a profile that is not theirs. Once we have confirmed the request is legitimate, your username is added to the blocklist and your profile can no longer be viewed through StoryPeek.
What happens after you submit
After you send the form, we review the request, verify it, and add your username to the permanent blocklist. From then on, any attempt to look up your profile on StoryPeek is blocked before it begins.
Keep in mind that StoryPeek is one independent tool among many. Removing yourself here does not affect other websites or apps, and it does not change anything inside Instagram itself. If your goal is to be invisible to all public-content viewers everywhere, making your account private remains the only way to guarantee that across the board.
If you have questions about your request, or you believe a profile was added to our tool in error, reach out to us and we will help.
